We are seeking a Customer Solutions Leader to join our Rexel team in Oakland, CA:

This position can sit either in Oakland, CA or in Fullerton, CA.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the branch strategy from planning to execution with regards to customer solutions, digital adoption and marketing in identified territory.
  • Be the key point of contact for branches assigned, customers and vendors.
  • Accelerate digital transformation.

Digital & Solutions (est. 70%)

  • Accelerate transformation and make California #1 in Plus (connected) customers and web sales
  • Help transform California into a more data-driven organization with increasing employee digital adoption (participate to tech champion meetings, in person training, webinars)
  • Create a culture of excitement and demand around digital and customer solutions
  • Define and grow new markets for emerging solutions and technologies
  • Conducts analysis to identify customer opportunities
  • Support sales teams and branches in selling and implementing customer solutions (digital, EDI, material services, VMI, TCO…)
  • Identify customer needs, propose solutions and close orders
  • Owns the process from Lead Identification thru Customer Agreement
  • Works directly with customer and branch personnel on all pre-sale activities including but not limited to sales call, needs assessment, demos, solution recommendations, proposal, and agreement finalization
  • Upon finalizing customer agreement, works directly to implement and/or lead the project to implement
  • Collaborate with sales teams to generate new and unique case studies

Marketing (est. 30%)

  • Help branches build their marketing calendar (counter days, training, customer events, local promotions)
  • Prepare, manage timelines and assist for local marketing initiatives
  • Assist in analyzing activity performance
  • Manage marketing funds for territory assigned
  • Ensure the consistency of the merchandising. Perform merchandising training and audit
  • Supports branch reset and branch opening if any
  • Enrich customer database contacts

Skills, Knowledge, and Education:

  • A four-year degree or appropriate experience
  • Strong Customer orientation, Ability to translate customer needs and problems into realistic solution recommendations
  • Analytical but with the ability to translate data into actionable opportunity targets
  • Ability to analyze and summarize data for reporting
  • Ability to manage a project including pull through business
  • Solid project/task management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple/concurrent activities
  • High degree of initiative
  • Desire to be an instrumental player and initiate change
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Team player
  • Good level of understanding of "e" solutions and technology
  • MS Office expertise
  • Electrical distribution experience preferred 
  • Ability to travel as required – no more than 50%
  • Valid driver's license for Region of business operation with a good driving record
